Welcome to the Mothers and More Bergen County Chapter!Mothers & More is a non-profit organization that cares for the caregiver. We provide opportunities for mothers to connect with one another in ways that assist them in developing their unique identities as women and help them move more confidently through the transitions that affect their family, work and life. Mothers & More provides a variety of ways for like-minded women to connect with one another locally, globally, personally, professionally and virtually. National Services The Forum: A bi-monthly publication focusing on work and family issues, survival techniques for life at home and in the workplace, ideas for personal enrichment, book reviews, author interviews, member news and updates, and other subjects of interest to sequencing women. National Conferences: This one-of-a-kind forum includes expert speakers who discuss issues affecting mothers, seminars of interest to mothers, workshops for bettering local chapters, fun nights out and more. Members Only Website: An interactive website with members-only section and services such as e-mail loops, volunteer opportunities, chapter tools, and timely organization news and information. E-mail Loops: An e-mail network of members who are available for support at any time of the day. Over 20 topic-based loops exist including Toddler Moms, At-Home Moms, Part-time Working Moms, Mothers of Color, and more. Leadership Opportunities: The chance to keep work skills current or acquire new ones by volunteering time and talent in a variety of areas including chapter coordination, membership, online services, publications, media relations, marketing, advocacy and development. The volunteer network operates virtually to connect volunteers all over the nation. Taking Action for Mothers POWER loop: An e-mail loop that explores patterns of women's employment by encouraging respect and recognition for the work of motherhood through topical discussions and interactive interviews with guest authors and experts. Nationwide Public Awareness Campaigns: Efforts to make mothers' unpaid caregiving visible to the world as a vital contribution to our society. Mothers & More Business Awards (MMBA): Recognizes employers and service facilities for their efforts to support mothers through policies and accommodations. Resources: Information and guidance in exploring issues affecting mothers is provided on the website. POWER Packets:
A series of programs designed to raise issue awareness through chapter meeting activities.
